The largest artistic invasion of lobsters by Philip Colbert arrives at the archaeological sites of Greater Pompeii, offering a reinterpretation of art history by the British artist widely regarded by critics as the heir to Andy Warhol.

Philip Colbert in Pompeii: Mythology of Pop

Renowned for his pop-inspired approach to art history through his artistic alter ego, The Lobster, Colbert presents an exhibition of sculptures in Pompeii that is set to become the largest installation ever realized by the artist. A total of 30 lobster sculptures will engage in dialogue, for the first time, with one of the world's most celebrated archaeological landscapes.

In addition to Pompeii, from 28 July the works will also be displayed at the other sites managed by the Archaeological Park: Longola, Boscoreale, Oplontis, Villa San Marco, Villa Arianna, and the Royal Bourbon Gunpowder Factory (Real Polverificio Borbonico).
